About
Lucas floors is a family owned business that has serviced the Illawarra since 1993
My uncle Moses first started sanding and finishing floors in 1993 and quickly built a strong and proud business (Lucas Floors) in the timber flooring industry.
He took a lot of pride in his work and was considered one of the best floor sanders in the Illawarra, later expanding to the Sydney region.
With most of our family working for Moses I too decided to take up sanding and polishing as soon as I left high school. My uncle taught me all the rules and regulations about hardwood timber floors and how to get the best results and keeping customers happy.
About 8 years ago Moses decided to move on and asked for me to take over and continue the family business and name, assuring the same reputation. And that is exactly what I have done.
I idolised my uncle Moses for his awesome work ethic which rubbed off on me and made me passionate about the trade. I too am devoted to my work and it makes me happy seeing the smile on my customers' face when their floor is finished.

I use the best machinery for the sanding of floors so that they will be level and smooth and only use the best products in finishing whether it being a water, solvent or oil based finish. I also specialise in stains and white washing .
